The Head of the Bight is one of the main features on the Nullarbor with the Southern Right Whales gathering there from May to October. As at August 2006 there are significant numbers at the bight with many calves having been born including a white one. Two viewing platforms afford spectacular views and the opportunity for close up sightings of the whales. A sealed road takes you in with entry fees payable at the administration station based along the entry road.
